Learn More About Paramedical Tattoo Treatments

Our paramedical tattoo and serum-based treatments

Our paramedical tattoo and serum-based treatments are designed to safely and effectively improve the appearance of stretch marks, scars, and hypopigmentation. Because these procedures rely on the body’s natural healing process, proper eligibility and preparation are essential for achieving optimal results.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Treatment?

Ideal candidates have fully healed stretch marks or scars, stable skin in the treatment area, and are in generally good health. A consultation is required to evaluate skin condition, review medical history, and determine whether camouflage tattooing or serum treatments are appropriate for your goals.

Who Is Not Eligible for Treatment and Why?

For safety reasons, treatment cannot be performed if any of the following apply:

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding, as hormonal changes may affect healing and pigment retention

  • You have open wounds, active infections, or unhealed skin in the treatment area

  • You have a history of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, or active Herpes outbreaks, due to increased risk of complications

  • You are currently taking Accutane or have taken it within the last 6 months, as it significantly impairs skin healing

These conditions increase the risk of infection, poor results, or prolonged recovery.

Medication & Pre-Treatment Restrictions

To ensure proper healing and pigment retention, clients must:

  • Be off Accutane for at least 6 months prior to treatment

  • Avoid Motrin (ibuprofen), aspirin, and all blood-thinning medications or supplements for 48 hours before treatment, unless otherwise directed by a physician

Blood thinners can increase bleeding and reduce treatment effectiveness.

How Should I Prepare for My Appointment?

On the day of your appointment:

  • Wash the treatment area thoroughly with soap and water

  • Arrive with clean, product-free skin (no lotions, oils, or self-tanner)

  • Ensure the area is fully healed, with no cuts or irritation

Failure to meet these requirements may result in rescheduling.

Why Must the Skin Be Fully Healed?

Paramedical tattoo and serum treatments must only be performed on intact, healed skin. Treating compromised skin increases the risk of infection, uneven results, and delayed healing.

Is This Treatment Safe?

Yes—when performed on eligible candidates who follow all pre- and post-treatment instructions. A consultation and health screening are required to ensure safe and effective results.

What Happens If Pre-Treatment Guidelines Are Not Followed?

Appointments may be postponed to protect your safety. Ignoring guidelines can lead to poor pigment retention, increased discomfort, prolonged healing, or unsatisfactory results.

What Is Nue Conceal?

Nue Conceal is an advanced solution for stretch marks, scars, and hypopigmentation. A skin tone reading device analyzes your complexion, while the Nue App identifies the ideal pigment match—saving time and ensuring consistent, natural-looking results.

Benefits of Nue Conceal

  • Flawless, natural-looking results

  • Custom pigment selection tailored to each skin tone

  • Eliminates guesswork in color matching

Post-Treatment Care

Proper aftercare is essential for achieving the best results and supporting the skin’s healing process.

Post-Treatment Guidelines

  • Avoid sun exposure for at least 30 days

  • Avoid saunas and intense exercise for 7 days

  • Clean the area twice daily with antibacterial soap and apply healing cream or oil

  • Healing may take 1–3 months due to scar tissue sensitivity

  • Be patient and allow the skin to heal fully

Healing Expectations

Healing typically takes 1–3 months, depending on age, lifestyle, and the severity of the treated area.

Post-Treatment Reactions

  • Redness and swelling are normal and usually subside within 24–48 hours

  • Redness may darken temporarily and fade over several weeks to three months

  • Smoking and high sugar intake may slow healing

Impact of Tanning

Tanning can make stretch marks and scars more noticeable if untreated. Camouflage tattoos help blend these areas, maintaining a natural appearance as your tan fades.

Benefits for Tanning Enthusiasts

Camouflage tattoos provide consistent, natural-looking results for those who enjoy tanning while minimizing the visibility of stretch marks and scars.

Brazilian Camouflage vs. Nue Conceal

  • Brazilian Camouflage uses traditional tattoo ink

  • Nue Conceal uses specially formulated mineral pigments for a more natural skin-tone result

Color Matching Differences

  • Brazilian Camouflage relies on manual color matching

  • Nue Conceal uses skin scanning technology and app-based pigment selection

Longevity & Natural Finish

Nue Conceal results can last up to five years, depending on lifestyle and genetics.

Camouflage Tattoo vs. Inkless Stretch Mark Revision (ISR)

Both treatments improve the appearance of stretch marks but differ in technique and outcome.

Camouflage Tattoo

This method implants pigment beneath the skin for long-lasting coverage and is best for areas with significant color contrast.

Inkless Stretch Mark Revision (ISR)

ISR is a non-invasive treatment using a tattoo device without ink. Medical serums stimulate collagen production to improve texture and tone over time.

When to Choose Each Treatment

  • Camouflage tattoo is best for prominent color contrast

  • ISR is best for natural collagen stimulation and texture improvement

What Is Nue Clear & How Is It Different from ISR?

Nue Clear is a specialized ISR treatment using a lab-formulated, medical-grade serum designed specifically for stretch mark revision.

Differences in Product Quality

Unlike over-the-counter products, Nue Clear uses regulated, medical-grade ingredients designed for deeper penetration and more consistent results.

Benefits of Medical-Grade Serum

  • Enhances treatment effectiveness

  • Shortens healing time (approximately 3 days to 1.5 months)

  • Safer and more effective for improving stretch mark appearance
